In the month of Dec. I took a 4 day mentoring and storytelling workshop with American advocate photojournalist, Ed Kashi. Ed is a member of VII Photo Agency VII. A storied photo agency, which was named for the number of it’s founding members, all leading photojournalists and documentarians emboldened and enabled by the ability to easily distribute their work in what was then the new digital age of photography. The final sequence made by Ed Kashi for my “Faces Behind Atrocities” photography project. “Faces Behind Atrocity” is a long term photo project aimed to raise awareness about human trafficking but also serves to empower and amplify voices of trafficked survivors.
