Namibia - Himba Tribe

November 15, 2013 | By: Matilde Simas

In the remote deserts of Namibia a nomadic tribe of Himba people cling to the ways of the past.  This tribe still lives off the land and travels around the Western deserts of Namibia.  Their unique reddish color is from a special ointment they put on.  The hairstyles of the women signify their status in life and I found their jewelry to be very interesting.
